Industrial Survey
The Industrial Survey is a monthly business opinion survey designed to capture trends in industrial activity and expectations of entrepreneurs. Carried out since 1998 and currently conducted in partnership with 25 Federations of Industry, the Industrial Survey generates results by company size, geographic regions and activity sectors of Manufacturing and Mining and quarrying industries.
Evolution of the exchange rate in the second quarter worries the industry
The exchange rate rose from the 17th to the 4th position in the ranking of the industry's main problems between the first and second quarters of 2024. Despite the advance of this problem, the industry's expectations for demand, hiring of new employees, and input purchases improved in July. This improvement is related to the low level of finished product stocks reported by the industries in June, which suggests the need to increase production to replenish stocks soon.
