Construction Industry Survey
The Construction Survey was launched in 2010 along the lines of the Industrial Survey. As a business opinion survey, it is intended to capture trends in activity and expectations of entrepreneurs in the construction industry. The survey is carried out monthly in partnership with 23 Federations of Industry and the Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry (CBIC). Results are presented by company size and activity sectors.
Construction expectations improve again
Construction industry business expectations improved again in August 2026, reversing part of the widespread deterioration observed the previous month. Two of the four expectation indices - inputs and raw materials purchases, and level of activity - crossed back above the 50-point dividing line. The employment-level expectation index registered exactly 50 points, indicating neutrality, while the new projects and services expectation index was the only one to keep signaling an expected decline.
