Tax burden, raw material costs and interest rates remain the main challenges facing industry
In the second quarter of 2026, the ranking of the main challenges remained unchanged from the previous quarter. The high tax burden continued to be the main challenge facing industry, followed by the lack or high cost of raw materials, high interest rates and insufficient domestic demand. Against this backdrop, dissatisfaction with firms' financial conditions and operating profits were eased, while difficulties in accessing credit also declined. Industrial entrepreneurs continued to report rising raw material prices, although these increases were perceived as less intense and less widespread than in the previous quarter.
