Industrial Survey
The Industrial Survey is a monthly business opinion survey designed to capture trends in industrial activity and expectations of entrepreneurs. Carried out since 1998 and currently conducted in partnership with 25 Federations of Industry, the Industrial Survey generates results by company size, geographic regions and activity sectors of Manufacturing and Mining and quarrying industries.
Insufficient domestic demand gains importance among business leaders’ main concerns
Insufficient domestic demand gained importance among the main problems faced by industrial business leaders between the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2026, moving from fourth to second place in the ranking of main problems faced by industry, behind only high tax burden. It is also important to note that, at the same time, the share of firms citing competition with imports reached the highest level in the series, and the share citing customer default reached the highest level since the 2nd quarter of 2020.
