Construction Industry Survey

The Construction Survey was launched in 2010 along the lines of the Industrial Survey. As a business opinion survey, it is intended to capture trends in activity and expectations of entrepreneurs in the construction industry. The survey is carried out monthly in partnership with 23 Federations of Industry and the Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry (CBIC). Results are presented by company size and activity sectors.

Expectations improve, but Construction activity continues to fall

The levels of activity and employment continued to fall in the Brazilian Construction Industry in May 2021, albeit at a slower pace than in the previous five months. Despite this result, the Construction Business Confidence increased in June. Expectations for the second half of 2021 also improved. All the indices measuring expectations of Construction entrepreneurs (activity levels, new developments and services, purchase of inputs and raw materials and number of employees) increased in June.
