Construction Industry Survey
The Construction Survey was launched in 2010 along the lines of the Industrial Survey. As a business opinion survey, it is intended to capture trends in activity and expectations of entrepreneurs in the construction industry. The survey is carried out monthly in partnership with 23 Federations of Industry and the Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry (CBIC). Results are presented by company size and activity sectors.
Moderate performance, decline in confidence, and worsening of expectations
The indices related to the performance of the construction industry showed an improvement in the passage from February to March 2026. While the Construction Industry activity level evolution index presented a high of 2.6 points, the Number of Employees Evolution Index advanced 1.7 points. Despite the high, both indices are lower than the one recorded in February 2025. Despite this performance, the confidence and expectations indicators show a less favorable scenario. In the same direction, the expectations indicators also recorded a decline for the second consecutive month.
