Brazilian manufactured goods regain share in the global market
In 2016, Brazilian manufactured goods recovered competitiveness in the global market, even though the gain was small. Brazil’s share in world manufacturing exports increased from 0.59% in 2015 to 0.61% in 2016. The depreciation of the Brazilian currency between 2011 e 2015, and the economic crisis help explain Brazil’s improved export performance. In relation to the share of Brazil in world manufacturing value added, the indicator has remained on a downward trend.
