Construction Industry Survey
The Construction Survey was launched in 2010 along the lines of the Industrial Survey. As a business opinion survey, it is intended to capture trends in activity and expectations of entrepreneurs in the construction industry. The survey is carried out monthly in partnership with 23 Federations of Industry and the Brazilian Chamber of Construction Industry (CBIC). Results are presented by company size and activity sectors.
The construction sector remains with positive expectations
The Construction Industry Business Confidence Index (ICEI) showed a slight improvement due to an increase in the entrepreneurs’ expectation indices, all of which remain above the 50 points line. Although the investment intention decreased, it continues to be above the historical average. Activity level and number of employees are better than in the previous month, but the increases are not enough to take the indices to a positive value.
