Industrial Survey
The Industrial Survey is a monthly business opinion survey designed to capture trends in industrial activity and expectations of entrepreneurs. Carried out since 1998 and currently conducted in partnership with 25 Federations of Industry, the Industrial Survey generates results by company size, geographic regions and activity sectors of Manufacturing and Mining and quarrying industries.
High tax burden and high interest rates lead the ranking of the main problems of the industry
In the first quarter of 2025, high tax burden, high interest rates, and insufficient domestic demand were the main problems faced by the industry, according to business owners' evaluation. Also, in the first quarter of 2025, industries point out worsening financial conditions and greater difficulty in accessing credit. In March 2025, the industry reports the worst monthly evolution for production and employment indicators in a March month since 2020; however, the utilization of installed capacity in the industry remains high, exceeding by one percentage point the level recorded in March last year.
