The objective of the CNI-Ibope Survey: Government evaluation is to know the evaluation of the population with respect to the President of the Republic and his government. The results capture both the popularity of the president and the approval of the government in its various areas. The survey is carried on by Ibope Intelligence and held quarterly, having started in 1996.


Dissatisfaction with the federal government grows

The three indicators measuring President Jair Bolsonaro’s popularity dropped between April and June 2019. The percentage of those who rate the government as bad or terrible increased from 27% to 32%, while the percentage of the population that rate the government as excellent or good edged down from 35% to 32% (within the survey’s margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points).
