The Industry in Figures presents measures of Brazilian industry performance in the short-term. A set of selected indicators describes the current situation of industry, for instance, production, employment, sales and exports. Structural statistics shows the importance of industry in Brazilian economy, its competitiveness and sectoral dynamics.


Brazilian Industry in Figures

The publication presents short term and structural indicators – production, level of inventories, business confidence, costs, productivity, among others. The share of Industry share in Brazilian GDP fell from 27.4%, in 2010, to 20.4% in 2020. The figure is only lower than that observed in the United States, among the selected countries.
