The Industry in Figures presents measures of Brazilian industry performance in the short-term. A set of selected indicators describes the current situation of industry, for instance, production, employment, sales and exports. Structural statistics shows the importance of industry in Brazilian economy, its competitiveness and sectoral dynamics.


Brazilian Industry in Figures

The publication presents short term and structural indicators – production, level of inventories, business confidence, costs, productivity, among others. In the April 2021 edition, the highlight lies with the Industry Business Confidence Index (ICEI), which has been falling since the beggining of 2021. In the last four months, the index has felt a total of 9.4 points. Despite the declines, it still reflects confidence from industrial entrepreneurs.
