ICEI - Industrial Sectors
The ICEI, as a precursor index of industrial performance, signals changes in industrial production trends. The survey that gathers the necessary information to the construction of the ICEI is made in conjunction with the Industrial Survey and the Construction Industry Survey. The ICEI – Industrial Sectors displays results from the mining and quarrying, construction and manufacturing industries, as well as their sectors. The publication also makes confidence indexes available for the three company sizes (small, medium and large) and for the five geographic regions of Brazil.
Southeast industry begins to show lack of confidence in July
In July 2024, the sectoral results of the Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index (ICEI) show a transition in the Southeast region, from confidence to lack of confidence. Thus, in July, entrepreneurs in the North, Northeast, and Midwest regions are confident, while those in the Southeast and South regions of Brazil register a lack of confidence.
