Ricardo Alban

Mechanical engineer and business administrator, he took over the presidency of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia in 2014 and was re-elected in 2021. Jorge Viana

Forest Engineer. Professor of the master’s degree program at the Brazilian Institute of Teaching, Development and Research. Has been involved in politics since the 90’s. He was governor, senator, and mayor in Acre. He was also first vice-president of the Senate. In the Senate, he was the rapporteur of the New Brazilian Forest Code, the New Biodiversity Access Law, the Science, Technology and Innovation Code, and a member of the Environment Commission and president of the Foreign Relations and National Defense Commission, among other official missions in Brazil and abroad.

Alexandre Silveira

Minister of State for Mines and Energy of Brazil 

Graduated in Law, he worked as police delegate of Minas Gerais, having retired as Delegate General. He has held several public positions, among them Secretary of State of Metropolitan Management and Secretary of Health in Minas Gerais. He was elected federal deputy for two terms in 2006 and 2010. Recently, in 2022, he took office as Senator of the Republic. He took over the command of the Ministry of Mines and Energy in January 2023.

Yoshimasa Hayashi

Japanese Foreign Minister

Graduated in Law and Master in Public Administration. He has served in various cabinet positions, including as Minister of Defense, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. He was elected five times to the House of Councilors in Yamaguchi. In 2021, he was elected for the first time to the House of Representatives. He has served on a wide range of committees, including the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, the Transpacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Special Committee, and the Special Committee on IT Strategy and the Constitution Committee. Before entering politics, he 

  worked in the trade and energy sectors. He joined Mitsui & Co. Ltd. in 1984.

Teiji Hayashi

Japanese Ambassador to Brazil

Career diplomat. Took over the Embassy in December 2021. He was assistant minister of the Office for Latin America and the Caribbean and sub-sherpa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for the G7 and G20. He also served in Japan's embassies in China and Argentina.

Romeu Zema

Governor of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil

Business administrator, he began his political career in 2018 as governor of the state of Minas Gerais and was re-elected in 2022. As entrepreneur, he took over Lojas Zema in 1991, where he accomplished the feat of turning four stores into 430 stores in the states of Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, and Espírito Santo. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zema Group, a position he held from 1990 until the end of 2016.

Eduardo Eugenio Gouvêa Vieira

Engineer. Chairman of the Wise Group on the Brazilian side – Group of Notables for the Strategic Economic Partnership between Japan and Brazil – and honorary Consul of South Corea in Rio de Janeiro. President of the Deliberation Board of the ONIP (National Organization of Petroleum Industries) since 1999. Worked for almost 40 years at the Empresas Petróleo Ipiranga and was responsible for the implementation and development of the company in the fields of chemistry and petrochemistry. Was a member of many Administration Boards, President of the Brazilian Association of the Chemistry Industry – ABIQUIM, and of the National Counsel of SESI. Currently a member of the Conselho de Administração da Boa Esperança S.A. 

Giuliana Morrone

Journalist, and lecturer

Has a career of over 30 years as a reporter of national and international politics. Participated in the coverage of all electoral campaigns in Brazil since the end of the military dictatorship. She was a correspondent for five years in the United State and monitored the campaign that led Barack Obama to the presidency.

Mário Sérgio Carraro Telles

Executive Manager of the Economics Department

Mário Sérgio Carraro Telles, holds a degree in Economics from UFMG and a Master's degree in Economics from CEDEPLAR/UFMG. With 23 years of experience in the industrial sector, he was manager of the economics department at the Federation of Industries of Minas Gerais (FIEMG) and, for the last 16 years, has worked with fiscal and tax policy at CNI. He also taught as Professor of Economics at UFMG, at Centro Universitário Newton Paiva, and at Rede de Ensino Doctum. 

Akihiko Kisaka

President, Country Head of Brazil of MUFG Bank

Has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanics. Held management positions in different areas of Mitsubishi UFJ Bank for 8 years. He was Executive Director of Investments at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan-Stanley Securities Co., Ltd and before assuming the leadership of MUFG Bank in Brazil, he served as Managing Director of the Strategic Research Division.

João Irineu Medeiros

Masahiro Inoue

He was General Manager of the Latin America and Caribbean Division in Tokyo and, as of April 2019, was appointed CEO of TLAC (Toyota Latin America and Caribbean Region). Pedro Paulo Dias Mesquita

Holds a degree in Economy, a master’s degree in Public Policies, Strategies and Development, and a postgraduate in Financial Management, Controlling and Auditing. Yuki Kodera

Since 1985, when he began his career at Mitsui, he has served in management positions in the iron ore divisions of various sections. Among these positions, he was Director of Operations and Manager in corporate planning and administrative divisions in the mineral resources and metals areas. In Brazil, he held the position of Manager of the metallic raw materials department in the Rio de Janeiro branch and, in 2019, he became President of the company in the country.

Rafael Lucchesi

Yasushi Tanabe

Graduated in Economics. He has held positions in the company's business areas, mainly commercial and administrative, in Japan, Colombia, and in the European region, and has been CEO of NEC in Argentina for almost two years. The executive holds a career of 34 years at NEC. He was president of the company in Brazil from 2018 to 2020 and, since 2020, he has been CEO in Latin America.

Yasutoshi Miyoshi
