ICEI - Industrial Sectors
The ICEI, as a precursor index of industrial performance, signals changes in industrial production trends. The survey that gathers the necessary information to the construction of the ICEI is made in conjunction with the Industrial Survey and the Construction Industry Survey. The ICEI – Industrial Sectors displays results from the mining and quarrying, construction and manufacturing industries, as well as their sectors. The publication also makes confidence indexes available for the three company sizes (small, medium and large) and for the five geographic regions of Brazil.
ICEI registers progress in October, but business confidence remains below the level in most segments
The Industrial Businessman Confidence Index (ICEI) registered an increase for most of the areas studied between September and October 2025. However, even with major positive variations, the perception of lack of confidence dominates among entrepreneurs. The ICEI of four out of five regions in Brazil, from all types of companies and 24 out of 29 considered sectors point to a lack of confidence among businessmen.
