26th Plenary Meeting of the Brazil-Japan Business Council
FIESP, Avenida Paulista, 1313, São Paulo - SP 

On September 9th and 10th, the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) of Brazil, in collaboration with its Japanese counterpart, the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), and with the support of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP), will host the 26th Plenary Meeting of the Brazil-Japan Business Council (Cebraj). The event will take place at FIESP headquarters, located at Avenida Paulista, 1313, São Paulo. 

The primary objective of this bilateral meeting is to convene the business communities of both nations. Discussions will focus on initiatives aimed at expanding trade and investment flows, alongside strengthening cooperative relations on key topics pertinent to the Brazil-Japan bilateral relationship. 

This year's agenda is specifically designed to address critical areas, including the economic outlook of both countries, neo-industrialization, the diversification of global value chains, technological cooperation, decarbonization of the industrial sector, and international cooperation. 

About the Council 

Brasil-Japan Business Council was founded in 1974 as the Brazil-Japan Economic Committee. It was established by the private sectors of both Brazil and Japan, with the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) representing Brazil and the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) representing Japan. This Council functions as an exclusively business-oriented bilateral mechanism, with its membership comprising Brazilian and Japanese companies and business entities. 

The Japanese Section is secretariat by Keidanren and is currently chaired by Mitsui, represented by its CEO. Similarly, the Brazilian Section of the Council is secretariat by CNI and is chaired by Vale, represented by its CEO.
