Senai, Tsinghua University and Envision Energy negotiate cooperation on sustainability and vocational training
Articulation is part of the memorandum of understanding signed in November 2024, during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Brazil
The board of the Brailian National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI) participated on Tuesday (1st) in a strategic meeting with representatives of Tsinghua University and Envision Energy, a leading Chinese global renewable energy company. The meeting, held in Brasilia, also had representatives of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).
The agenda addressed institutional cooperation initiatives in projects aimed at industrial sustainability and professional qualification, focusing on the implementation of the SENAI Institute of Biodiversity and Circular Economy. Recognized by TIME magazine as one of the 100 most influential companies in the world, Envision Energy intends to start operations in Brazil in 2026, with operations in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Ceará. The company is interested in professional education programs for the training of future employees, as well as the intention to develop applied research projects in bioeconomy and industrial decarbonization.
This initiative is included in the memorandum of understanding signed between CNI and Tsinghua University in November 2024, during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Brazil. Tshinghua is considered the best university in Asia and ranks 20th in the QS World University Rankings 2025.
The meeting was attended by the senior manager of Envision Energy's Strategic Partnerships and Business Development, Matheus Cruz Rodrigues; the director of the Tsinghua University's Chemical Engineering Department, Liu Dehua; the director general of SENAI, Gustavo Leal; the superintendent of SENAI's Professional and Higher Education Department, Felipe Morgado; the superintendent of SENAI's Innovation and Technology Department, Roberto de Medeiros; and the superintendent of International Relations of CNI, Frederico Lamego.
