SENAI's Career and Employability service uses AI to analyze user information and suggest courses that bring students and workers closer to the profiles most required by the industry
The National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI) launches a new free artificial intelligence platform to help Brazilians build professional paths aligned with the demands of the labor market.
Powered by Google Cloud's AI technology, the Career and Employability service analyzes user-provided information such as resume, work experience history, or verbal description of activities that have already been performed to identify strengths, qualification gaps, and possible career paths.
The tool is part of SENAI's AI ecosystem , Nai, which can be accessed at: https://nai.senai.br/
“Based on large volumes of data and advanced algorithms, SENAI's AI will assess users' competencies and skills, as well as current market demands. After doing so, the platform will recommend qualification trainings that bring people closer to their goals and job opportunities", says SENAI's director-general Gustavo Leal.
The project is part of an agreement signed in 2023 between SENAI, the Social Service of Industry (SESI) and Google Cloud, effective for five years, which provides for digital transformation actions in basic education, Youth and Adult Education (EJA), vocational education and higher education, as well as innovation and technology services focused on the industry.
Learn how the tool works
The process begins with submitting the resume and filling out basic information about the professional and academic background. The user then answers multiple-choice questionnaires about aspirations, career goals, technical competencies, and skills for the work environment.
Based on this diagnosis, the Career and Employability service indicates courses that bring students and workers closer to the profiles most required by the industry. The platform matches the competencies mapped with the current demands of the market, signaling areas of expansion in the market that relate to the candidate's professional profile and pointing out possible professional paths.
The platform also directs the user to careers that are more likely to succeed and job opportunities available in the market, including jobs published on Google Jobs. In addition, it calculates the “skills and abilities gap” between the current profile and professional aspirations, using this data to recommend personalized learning content.
New features
Finally, the platform generates an executive summary that is saved in the user profile, with the observed skills, improvement points, and progress to be made. The main dashboard presents the evolution of skills over time and offers personalized recommendations for vocational training content and employment opportunities. Guidance for curriculum development, suggestions for personalized learning paths based on SENAI's course library, and structured support in the format of online mentoring are among the new features planned for the upcoming months.
