Who shares, multiplies! SENAI shares distance learning experience with Morocco

The OFPPT expects to enroll around 2,900 students every year

Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI) has begun sharing knowledge with Morocco's Office for Vocational Training and Job Promotion (OFPPT, acronym in French). The expertise is in distance learning in Mechanical Engineering and Digital Teaching training.

The first meeting of the Management Committee took place at the OFPPT headquarters on January 29, where it was already discussed which subjects will make up the specialized technical courses in Mechanical Engineering. The Moroccan government identified the need for ongoing training in this area and sought technical cooperation.

In this cooperation with Morocco, SENAI will act as a technical partner of the Brazilian government and will work both on the content of the 11 proposed modules, which will be developed in e-learning mode, and on the training of the teachers who will teach these courses, through a digital connection.

Once the training program is up and running, the OFPPT expects to enroll around 2,900 students a year across different specialties.

"Digital transformation is a global challenge that depends on a lot of cooperation between countries. SENAI is one of the experts on the subject, which is why it is sought after both inside and outside the country," says SENAI's Industrial Development Superintendent, Frederico Lamego.

Along with SENAI and OFPPT, Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (ABC) representatives also took part in the meeting in Morocco.
