The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) is a 79 year-old institution that has a mandate to represent the Brazilian industry in Brazil and abroad. In its effort to advance its objectives of promoting competitiveness and innovation, CNI is supported by three associate institutions that address the key issues of workforce training, occupational health and safety, basic education, and executive and managerial training. These institutions are SESI, SENAI and IEL.
The Social Service for Industry (SESI) promotes quality of life, healthcare and occupational safety for industry workers, in addition to continued education for workers and basic education for children. In 70 years SESI reached more than four million people with services in healthcare and occupational safety. SESI operates a network of 749 schools and 423 mobile units all over Brazil.
The Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL) connects industry and university to promote business development by means of executive education and trainee and internship programs. More than 45,000 executives and managers have participated in our training programs, and over 5,000 companies have benefited from customized solutions in innovation management designed by IEL.
The international agenda of SESI, SENAI and IEL focuses on contributing to the competitiveness of the Brazilian industry and its expansion. It involves bringing our companies closer to leading companies and knowledge centers worldwide. Our international services comprise two types of services:
