A- A A+

To invest in Brazil, the investor has various forms of support and incentives. The Secretariat of Production Development has a former tariff regime which "is to reduce the rate of import tax on working capital goods (BK) and/or information technology and telecommunications (BIT) when brought from abroad and there is no domestic production, enabling increased technological innovation by companies from different segments of the economy and to produce a multiplier effect of jobs and income for different segments of the national economy." Additionally, there are funding and incentives, which offer special loaning categories for the development of companies.

There are other tax incentives in the Brazilian regions through the Superintendence for the Development of North, Northeast, Central-West region and Manaus Free Trade Zone regions, such as exemption, reduction and reinvestment of income tax, accelerated depreciation, among others.
